Grass seed in toe

I think lurcher has grass seed in toe ,is there any solutions to getting it out ,or is it best to see a vet

Have you inspected the dogs toe over your self as you know dogs lick and knaw their toes it may come out our dog one of our dogs had a thorn in his pad I pulled out with kneeling down next to him he was ok

For sure get to a vet. Most years we've got away with no grass seed issues but this summer our whippet has twice grass seeds lodged, one down the ear canal and one in the toe, both needed vet and antibiotics

On the toe, I tried the usual soaking in salt solution and antiseptic sprays but it wouldnt settle, antibiotic course sorted it,

Had the bitch to the vets it's a tumour got it removed !!!! 

Vet reckons he got it all just hope it does not come back

Ffs I just remembered me old fawn bitch had same thing just above eye never had any issues after vet whipped it off

Take your dog to the vets ,

Lots of good advice on this forum but it's your dog and that looks nasty ,

My brother in-law had same problem with one of his labs ,he waited few days and ended up with a 2 k vet bill .
