The dogs I went to see yesterday are the scratch dogs , the fastest there is, the record holders. Ive seen the racing lurchers over the years that thought they could beat them…they couldn’t ! A lad who claimed he had the fastest lurcher in the UK and Ireland came to our track and go nowhere near the track record holder and a 24lb racing champion bitch did a better time. Ive said before, I beat a pure greyhound with a non-ped in a money match over 150 yards straight racing but got beat in the return match over 270 yards on a greyhound track.
