Guest Ditch_Shitter
Spring for me, I think. Not the calander version, if ye will. But the proper season. Everything's getting busy again and it's light enough and warm enough to really enjoy being out seeing it and, where necessary, dealing with it. Summer's nice too. Endless hours of daylight in which to graft and get to work on the jobs which winter forestalled ~ or created. A time of frantic and concious preperation for the dark and barren times to come again, so soon. And, of course, it's so much more pleasent to hunt things in nice weather. Setting a trap on shirt sleeves is better than doing so with frozen fingers any day. Bouncy sward beats mud too. I could well do without the f*cking Horse Flys, but I've sussed out where they get now so try not to go there
littlefish 596
it has to be spring time for me....lighter evenings, hedgerows starting to green up again and the smell of the ground and growing grass when the sun shines on it...........lovely!
