Squirrel snaring

Recommended Posts

My Cousin and i live in BC and are both 16

we have become very interested in the art of snaring

at his farm we have observed many squirrels running from the woods, along a fence

to more woods

we set up a some snares on the fence and have had no luck

we have tried snares with a bent over sappling and trigger

aswell as a figure four and toggle leghold snare

we have been hard at it for a month now to no avail

we are using 25 gauge brass wire and have not dyed or dipped it

we just made the snares

any help would be appreciated, we really want to learn more about this because we also have a racoon wandering around,

howver, having been unsuccesful with squirrels have not attempted to catch it.

 What a bloody nice reception for a young man from a differant country. This place has been rated as #1 on the Small Vermin charts since the old king died. Of course people from around the world will find us and come here looking for information and socialisation. " I smell a rat "? Bobo; Would ye know the smell of a rat if I held one under ye nose? Get real, mate.

Snareman1234; Have a look at our " Snareman " stuff. Then, if ye perhaps fancy chatting to some people your own age who I don't imagine will try to tear ye apart, take a look Here. If ye go there and run into Mr Dan Tanner, tell him " UK " sends his best ;)
