is it just me or are these gunshops getting worse all the time.if you go into a local shop 4 staff will just look at you and carry on talking ffs.usuall walk in and just walk out when this happens.so i emailed a shop last week and no reply.emailed another shop this week and no reply.not much point in having an email address if you do not look at it is there.fecking ignorant or what ?.now not going to make a big purchase but surely if every potential customer is ignored they will not be around for long.or is it just a case of i am being paid to work if i serve someone or not so why bother making the effort to do my job ?.

My local 'big' gun shop used to be shit at actually getting back to you with inquiries and orders. In the end I stopped bothering. Recently though, I needed a part only dealers could order from GMK. After speaking to the shop and them promising to get back to me, I phoned GMK myself, spoke to a very helpful gent in the workshop, got the part number and checked how many were in stock. Phone my shop back up and gave them the deets. Week later they contacted me to tell them the part was in, restoring my faith in them a bit. Dunno if I'd have got the same result had I not done the leg work myself but hopefully the service has changed for the better.

I popped into my local one 2 days ago, it's the first time I've been there in over 3 years.

 

I wanted a specific set of scope mounts - the silly fecker started asking about scope size and brand. None of that mattered because I was very specific about mount size and brand

......... I ended up helping myself to the ones that I was after and walking to the till while he was still in mid sentence. 

 

They're like it with everything in there - know it alls that actually know f**k all.

 

It'll be a while before I go back in there again.
