Topcat vole (& mole ?) trap

Recommended Posts

Was bored,....so I decided to purchase this trap, & some of the kit ?? Swiss manufactured,.. this device, quality materials (stainless steel, I think) & nicely engineered. Managed to get it installed  in a mole run, failed to catch ,..but caught mole on my second attempt, in another location....lol   (thank f..k,...don't ask how much this all cost me !! ???) Anyway, good design , & is set up to target the mole/vole, etc , around the head/ neck area. Seems a very humane dispatch.

This dairy farm is the only one I do, that voluntarily converted,  to injecting slurry directly in the ground, for a good few years now. I've noticed this practice appeals to the local mole population. It's drawing them in from neighbouring boundaries, obviously cause of the improved soil habitat for earthworms & invertebrates. They also put a few fields over to wheat (unusual here,...& when it's ploughed & rolled, afterwords, also creates ideal conditions for moles prey, eventually. This stubble field had quite a few suddenly appear in it , after a period.

Took a notion,...got six of these still new,  gathering  dust, for a long, long time,....acquired off the top 'putange man' or somebody aquainted, on here,......good traps obviously,  anyhow,.....(here , definitely stronger than the standard version, which are also good, I remember)
