boresight

I use a laser bore sighter i know i only have an AA S410 carbine, but i find it very helpful and would recommend them all the way.

How much did you pay for it? If you don't mind me asking! The only reason is that I thought they were £xpensive. Cheers!

If you have £30-£50 to spare as has been suggested (some cost a lot more) then they are certainly not going to do any harm.

I run air rifles, rimfires and centrefires and I suggest bore sighters are best suited for centrefires, however, even with the daft price of some centrefire ammo, £1 plus per round in many cases, I still find I can bore sight by eye and then simply use a couple of rounds to bring it right in.

I struggle to see there can be much use for a bore sighter on a 12 ft lb air rifle, and you have to finish with pellets to be sure anyway......simply down to individual choice though!!!

Personally I think a £50 session down the pub would be a far better use of the money!

Cheers (hic!) :drink:

Boresighting by eye is done much quicker, with less time spent fiddling with the boresighter, personally i'd pass on one, i can normally get the rifle on target in about 5 shots, save your money for ammo......
