Yeah so seeing why some folk add one of those extra moisture traps to their hand pumps ? my maximus has been leaking for a bit. Figured it was the fill nipple o ring Gon again so went and for it apart. Still was leaking so went a tore it own some more and is what I found IMG_20211015_204756303.jpg.8656beafa403ce84fc8367c25903e7b5.jpgIMG_20211015_204813565.jpg.ecef15b88b05ad19914277a2c55f476f.jpg

I swear I've been doing my best to keep this thing in good shape.so the only thing I can figure is dude to the fact where I live it's almost always 80-100% humidity in the air, without a secondary moisture trap over the last few years it just kept building up and yeaaah.? On the bright side I now have an excuse to think with this some more. Reckon I'll mabye throw in a HUMA regulator in if I order a new tube

I know you guys have some seriously good weather but when I have been to various parts of the States on business, the humidity was a killer, at least it was for me so I am not surprised to hear that affects your kit.  In the UK we need to dry off after the rain but humidity is not a problem here ?
