And so do most hunters here but I've seen the saluki type Bull Arabs in FNQ nearly 45 years ago before the Bull Arab became a known breed in the rest of Oz. The dogs about now have no saluki blood but have stolen the name of the original type. You hear all kinds of stories about the original dogs being bred on an Arab horse stud and other BS but I spoke to the old hunters up North about the dogs and they were very Saluki looking. 1 Quote Link to post

Named after the Afghani camel herders that were shipped into Oz with the camels to open up the interior. Its about a five day trip from one end of Oz to the other, stopping off in places like Aires Rock and Alice Springs. Cheers. 2 Quote Link to post
