Glanced out the window, this afternoon. Quite by chance. Nice, sunny day. And there's these Two pheasants, having a scoff of the bird seed and peanuts I put down out there.

Only, these were both cocks. And, I'd swear to god, they must have been father and son! Both of them were fukking Glorious!!! Stunning conditions on them. Every feather a jewel.

I wish to fukk I could take photo's through this window. (Sadly, I can't. Tried enough times) What a sight to behold though. One birds tail was perceptibly that bit longer than the others. His brilliant white neck ring was that much deeper too.

Well, they've made it through the seasons and now they'll be ready to breed. Looking at them two? We should be in for some really top class, wild, stock around here! :)

Had a regular cock bird here, Tomo. Couple of years at least now. Called him " Seiko " cos I could set my watch by his turning up time.

Caught him, in the crow trap, more times than I care to remember. He got use to it though. Even having to be dragged out by his legs. In the end, he'd just walk away. Head held high. Feigning an air of solid dignity ?

Don't think he was either of these two though.

Naah. That's exactly what I'm talking about, Kanny. Them two's worn out, captive bred, dull looking skinny things. I wouldn't have mentioned seeing such mediocrity.

These two boys were absolute show stoppers. And I've seen the odd pheasant, down the years, too :)
