A beautiful place as the sun comes up but was very cold, even the seaweed froze

Coincidentally I was out walking the Moors recently and noticed on my OS map that I was close to the source of the Fowey, so walked on to see it. Quite interesting to see water coming out of the groun

I know where there was a few hiding on the Fowey if you are interested mate. Ill happily send you a Google pin, couldn't guarantee they're still there mind

Lad I fish with eats it but the places I've caught em I wouldn't ?

I have eaten them and will do again as the estuaries i catch them in aren't industrial in any shape or form, but they are always full of green slimey crap that is a little off putting when cleaning them out...

That's just algae and weed. The places we fish nearly all have sewer treatments near

I've always fancied bow fishing, but in the UK we don't really have any suitable fish, unless you fancy eating mullet. I reckon it would be some good crack lamping flounders though

There's a name for spearing them with forks in the mud but I'm damned if I can remember what it is ?

Good man, I'll join you if you do it when I'm on my 3 days off?

Cheers, D.

Sounds good. As soon as we have days a bit longer and more settled weather I'm on it. If weather is pants it'll just be a chore and a slog.

Decent weather and a couple of brew stops along the way with a bite to eat would make a pleasant day out.
