FLATTOP 5,290
I went out this evening for a few hours and managed three rabbits in real nice condition our farm has been really hit by the disease but they are slowly coming back but nowhere near the numbers of the past, I had two Squirrels as well but I had to put this picture up this was at 126 yards with the range finder all I could see was it’s head sticking out of the stubble fluke who knows but I’m claiming I meant it lol CZ 452 .17 16” Varmint barrel with 17 grain Remington. Stavross 18,716
Never put it down to a fluke, with the fantastic mouse rifle and your superb marksmanship it was a sure thing 1 Quote Link to post
David.evans 5,323
Yep Thats a great shot no fluke at all if you could only see it’s head zero at a hundred? Atb Dave 1 Quote Link to post
Sausagedog 7,381
A pigeons head is the size of a mouse so you used the perfect tool for that shot. I trust it was off hand? Anything else doesn't count! cracking shot bud. 1 Quote Link to post
FLATTOP 5,290
Off hand I would say that would have been an act of God laying down is my preference these days, I went through a stage where I was saying take the shot off hand with some success but I seem to default back to my preferred laying down and blending in position. And my scope is zeroed in at a hundred yards which seems to give good results, I also had a couple of rabbits that were 120 + last night there a good little gun had my one about ten years now. 2 Quote Link to post
