I had the same problem with a hatsan last year that i was given by my neighbour.

If i remember, the trigger was set too light so only the safety was stopping it from firing.

Other far more knowledgeable answers to follow???

It's sickened me thought I'd get a couple hour shooting done before send it it to big mac but might not be able to now barrel looks bent upwards too now I've looked properly. Barrels are 80/90 an extra 50 I'll get a 99 or something that won't need all the work this does

May know of a certain little twat from Scarborough

that has a hw35 screw cut barrel

if he still has it

and the pre load may be the issue with it going off on its own or lack of it

and could be as say.d trigger

ether way i can sort it

if the barrel is bent flynn check the stock it may have a fine split in it

and may not be visible to the naked eye until you cock it

chances are its been fired when cocked and the barrel has come up

ill know once iv stripped the stock back

Si sayd the barrel he has is fecked to

but it may just need re,crowning as its spitting the pellets out side ways

its been cut and re,threaded so chances are it will need crowning again

its been re crowned jimmy, the rifling is fcuked.. the pellets drop straight through the barrel to the last 20mm its kind of like a medieval smooth twist
