Not into girls fighting I’m a bit old fashioned like that . But I’ve started to change my mind these days I’ve seen vids of girls kicking the shit out of other poor girls getting bullied .i think it’s a good thing for young girls to learn to hold their hands up to defend themselves same with the lads . Jmho

Can't give any more likes out today so ?. Plus the fact if some scrote of a boyfriend/husband or whatever, was a tad heavy handed etc,  they could drop the c**t with a double jab and a right cross

I'd question whether boxing teaches respect and discipline because eighty percent of the ones I know are toe rags with a scumbag streak although they certainly can defend themselves. It's a bit like rugby players claiming to be gentleman while biting each other's ears, grabbing each other by the knobs and eye gouging in scrums is regular. I've seen skilled fighters goading and winding people up to strike them so they could then batter them and tell the self defence hero story.

Well I've been around boxing gyms for decades, and if any of the juniors tried anything else other than being genuine, they'd be given a bollocking the first time, and if they tried it on again they'd be shown the door in very quick order

I don't mean juniors. What I mean is when they mature and start hanging in certain circles with a control attitude.  Mike Tyson ( rape) , mayweather ( woman beater) , Joshua ( drug dealer) Furey ( drug addict ) Some of the largest gyms out there controlled  by criminals. It isn't exactly run like a chess club.? Although it is a popular sport in poor areas with tough people so that plays a part.

Katie Taylor before she was pro world champ and was on her way to Olympic gold was asked about what she thought about battering fellas in sparring and a lot of them were afraid to get in with her for fear of ridicule. Her simply reply was she had a couple of brothers good at boxing and they would soon put her in her place in the ring. A very humble lady who had no choice but to spar men because there wasn't a girl in Ireland , Europe or maybe the world that could give her a work out.

Yes but sparring is one thing, punches thrown with real intent are another.
