Hi all hopping someone on here might be able to help . My great uncle Alfred fountain was head keeper on burley estate . He had 2 son Ricky and tony . I’m trying to find lost and present family . 1 side of my family where gamekeepers and the other side where policemen Sargent . My great grandfather was the first cross in are family to be a keep in 1918 after the war . He married a lady Dolly fountain .  If anyone can help I’d be most great full  . Thanks Daren peter cross

I would contact a man called David S.D. Jones he is involved with the National Game Keepers organisation, you can get hold of him through them . He is a bit of an authority on the history of game keepers and their families. He writes articles in the sporting press and has even written a book on it . If he can’t help you no one can !!!
