Daniel cain 49,148
I always start mine off out with the ferrets.... Let them get a feel of a few rabbits in a purse net.... Once they listen and are catching the odd bolter, retrieving them to hand, I take them out on the lamp to watch an experienced dog at work, try them on a few squatters etc. My old bitch lamps without a slip lead, collect my new pup next Saturday and can't wait too get her out..... Down the farm stockbreaking to the wife's horses, cow's, birds and most important around here..... Bombproof with sheep.... Fuckers can appear from anywhere when out and about This bitch been around them from 8 weeks old.... Rather chill with em than her own kind lolno need to have eyes in your arse hole then when out and about 2 Quote Link to post
Daniel cain 49,148
Before anyone starts..... That bitch is on the hill and can run through fields of sheep without em battering an eyelid..... Wander from farm to farm with no bother from the land owners..... She jumps in the truck when called and they return her home lol 1 Quote Link to post

Moocher71 4,216
My bedlington greyhound is broken to fowl, she would run in if they fluttered there wings at first but a stern No sorted it, getting her stedy around sheep is next, she's not interested while on lead and watches the older dog's walk through them so hopefully she will follow suit, she's drinking from same bowl as ferrets so she's doing OK at 4 months old, she's seen cats and don't bother unlike the whippet x who's neck grows a yard and eyes look like there on springs. Your juckel looks a nice sort, Edited June 24, 2018 by Moocher71 Missing word 1 Quote Link to post
Saltmoon 2,208
He's alright with sheep and ponys not sure about ferrets though he's had a few rats. As for cats well I have no idea Quote Link to post
