Guest Magwitch
Me and Stubby had a days ferreting today, the farmer asked me to do a particular part of the orchard but before that we ferreted three small earths, the first one we had one rabbit which hit the long net after we had picked the ferrets up. the second bury only produced a couple, then on the third my silver hob managed to bottle up four rabbits in a stop end and only a foot down. Ended up with twelve decent rabbits and one that wasn't very well Steve has a picture of that one  Quote Link to post

Hob&Jill 258
Nice one lads, good day out. Them ferret boxes simon whitehead sells are good, arnt they? I got one at the midlands and its excellent, lightweight and comfy. Is there much ferreting to be had on ochards? Only the biggest vinyard in england and one of the biggest in europe is only a few miles from my house... might approach them about it. Denbies they are called. Quote Link to post

Most of the rabbits come in from the hedgerows around the orchard but there are some good buries in it which hold a good numbers Quote Link to post

stubby 175
whats wrong with that?? looks very odd! was probably about 3 months DEAD, before pat dug it up, ferts had marked it and were coming back up with fur on their claws, we try our best not to leave any rabbits un-dug even after the ferts have moved on Quote Link to post

It looks a nice bit of ground bud I never really thought that rabbits would like a orchard for a home but the two fruit farms i ferret are lifting with the bugger's, but i think we are beginning to make a dent in them now Quote Link to post
