Had an old dog tried to get the turkey one xmas, turkey fell on his head, must have brained him cos I got there just in time. This xmas dog ate all the currants for the pud, only found the empty  packets, turd was like massive sheeps droppings!

You were lucky mate.

Grapes, raisins, and even currants (some currants are actually small, black grapes) are toxic to your dog! In fact, there have been anecdotal reports of cats and ferrets being affected by these also. Ingestion of even a small amount of grapes, raisins, or currants can result in severe, acute kidney failure.

Yeah I know, was keeping an eye on her, read about a woman whose two Labradors ate currants, she paid the vet £500 each, to treat each dog, one bought up only two currants!

One of mine knows she ain't allowed to take anything off tables, worktops etc etc, but anything on the floor is fair game, I kept hearing a noise so snuck in the kitchen and she was bumping the tray of freshly cooked sausages on the worktop so they rolled off and onto the floor.

The same one cannot stand tea or coffee, but does like a beer as I found out to my cost.
