Yep another one on 25.4 gr pellets in the Impact and like Phil said flies flat and fast 905- 908 fps

That’s interesting, trouble is, I make that 46.51 ft lb. A good bit more than I’m looking for really. I want to be shooting crows/rooks off tree tops so I wouldn’t be happy shooting 25 grains at 46 ft lbs into the air. 12 ft lb isn’t enough from cover to the spinney. CB longs aren’t accurate enough and Z Lang’s at 29 grains and 47 ft lb carry too much energy for comfort although they’re accurate enough. I do have a huge backdrop, but those little bullets carry a long way so I was thinking, the knock down power of a lighter .25 pellet would be ideal. I know they hit harder than .22 pellets due to the bigger frontal area. Has anyone tried milbro rhinos or bsa pylarm .25’s ?  I have a .25 Hatsan Striker, but it’s sub 12 so would be interested in one at fac power.

Edit to say, fac.25, not fac striker.

I have only tried the pellets you mentioned in sub 12 and very badly made .

I have taken my FX impact down to 30 ft/lbs  with the 25.4 gr and still very accurate . The new FX X barrel are meant to be very good with most pellets and not just JSB ones or similar and the new 700 mm X barrel is the best out there , winning most of the competitions in the USA and not pellet fussy

I take your point regarding tree top shooting but the real beauty of the Impact is that it takes a second to take the power down to what you want but don't bother with poor quality pellets when you are buying (or possibly thinking of buying) an expensive gun like the Impact.

If I can go from 25 - 47fpe using the main power dial, then you will not have any issues using a decent pellet and tuning the power to what you are happy with.
