But this is not just these people ringjng up a random number like a double glazing salesman call there ringing 999. The problem with doing this is that one time it will be a real emergency and then it will become a different matter. Surely someone needs to get these people to understand that 999 is a serious call and not, I can't find my socks or some trivia. Failing that hammer the phone or cull. If something bad happens as a result (which is less than a 1 in 3000 chance going by last year) then they have no-one to blame except themselves. The boy who cried wolf.
