Rochdale Social Worker Keeps Her Job

Social worker Deborah MacQueen who was recently investigated for failing to protect 11 vulnerable girls from the paedo gang has been allowed to keep her job as a social worker. Ironically Rochdale Council were doing the investigating. She was cleared despite admitting she had signed cases off while knowing they were at risk of harm and not knowing the full facts of the cases she was handling.

Frankly, I'm shocked. Not at the level of expertise demonstrated by the local authority as they continue to sink to newer and deeper levels but the fact that she is allowed to keep her job despite the case. The question is what are the people of Rochdale going to do about it?

All that outrage for nothing...

The horrifying thing about the whole case is that only two of  the nine jailed in 2012 are still in jail. Four of the men are fighting deportation. As you say  all that outrage and they are back walking the streets of Rochdale. In cases like this there should be no early release whatsoever. The time served by these animals has been the biggest betrayal of all for the girls. There's been very little true justice for them.

Reading headlines like this is infuriating. That woman is indicative of the attitude of the public sector. She f*cked up beyond all recognition. Completely and utterly failed in her duty to those vulnerable girls and she's essentially had a smack on the wrists and been allowed to continue as normal due to her years of service. No doubt she'll be financially compensated for any stress she's had during the investigation.

The biggest issue I have with this is that because of this incompetence more vulnerable kids are going to slip through the cracks. With few willing to even listen to them what chance do they have against these animals? The care is a joke. The investigation is a joke. The sentencing is a joke. The length of incarceration is a joke. Problem is that this thread, and many like it, are the only thing that's being done! Crackers...
