ftm 3,357
decided to visit local farm after my tea and Troy invited himself along by jumping into motor when I put rifle in I pulled into yard and a woody landed on the arms of the tractor sprayer, I thought as soon as I get out of car it will be off so just opened door and acted as normal as I could [im not normal ] lol managed to slip gun from bag and cocked it and turned around to see woody sitting without a care in the world. crosshairs placed on its head and pellet sent on a mission it fell off into the bay and troy had been watching all this time , backhatch opened and troy was onto it in seconds and back in my hand in no time . farm hand had witnessed it and came over for a chat and as we talking a magpie landed on the concrete wall that separates the crop produce [wheat corn etc] and I bloody miss it lol [maybe im normal afterall ] I walked up to back of farm and jackdaws were feeding aroung muck heap and troy told to stay I crept up to about 30yds and resting gun on an old hay bale I picked my target and dropped it stone dead sending others up in air only to see a few land right back down next to dead one ,I shot 2 more in very quick succession before the rest sussed out what was going on and they were off -troy hadn't moved an inch and with a peep of the whistle I sent him out to retrieve them and all birds back in front of me in no time -good dog gets a pat and we walk back to motor and I called it a day Edited August 24, 2017 by ftm 5 Quote Link to post
