Recoilless stock................................now thats how a springer should be :whistling:

 

 

I wish my TX stock had been like that Si instead of the frigging dark thing I got, anyway all in the past now it's gone.

it was strange to watch Phil

the stock didn't move a mm but you could clearly see the recoil getting soaked up....

the stock looked like sh1t though :laugh:

 

think i might have to backtrack and lighten this one up.... i like my dark stocks but think this one will come up really well!

What beans did you had over for it Si? Money I mean :D

four red ones and two big black ones :laugh:

 

it was marked up at £595 i think..

but i did a bit of wheeling n dealing with some other bits and bats at a well discounted price :thumbs:

 

just put a few pellets through her rez and its bedding in nicely..

had to stop though cos its scorching up here and everyones out in there gardens :censored:

its doing pcp groups after about 50 pellets

It's got some right stripes and grain going on!

Lad said he hand picked it but if I'd got a quid for every time I've heard that I'd be loaded :)

It's got some right stripes and grain going on!

Yes mate. I picked this up about 3 months ago but, I haven't used it much since.

 

I managed to get the shop to take that stock off a .22 and put on the .177 that I wanted :thumbs:

had today off so i spoke to jimmy and he told me how to sort the stock out as the Finnish wasn't so good!

so i rubbed her down with 0 wire wool and gave her a bath and dried her off outside..

then did a generous coat of tung oil, left on for an hour then wiped off...

put it all back together and here she is :thumbs:

I'm well happy now but I've got a bit of work to do on the trigger when i can be bothered, its not exactly smooth!!

so seen as though all the neighbours are out i did a chrono and a re zero due to power increase...

this works out at 11.8 ftlb so I'm more than happy with that!

bottom target was the zeroing, top is only 6 or 7 pellets as id noticed red stuff on the carpet then twigged id cut me elbow :censored:

Si you have got to be happy with that its stunning mate

 

honestly dont think i could of done any better my self

cheers jimmy its come up really well,

think I'll attack the streamline with wire wool soon :thumbs:

the loading/ firing cycle is mint and the recoil is more or less gone..

when I get round to sorting the trigger I'll put up some pictures, it looks like I've forged some of the sear's with me lump hammer :blink:

taking the kids to York today and theres a good gunshop on the out skirts so I may treat her to a nice leather sling!!
