I've bathed it in salt water. The dog's now asleep. Should I just leave it uncovered? Or put antiseptic on? And cover it, so he can't lick it?

let him lick it only put a cover on it when toileting him so it doesnt get foreign matter or mud into it.

Clean, disinfect it, use cut n heal spray. Or aluspray.
