airdale crosses

just interested in learning a bit about the airdale crosses iv seen plenty in in the papers but havnt really had much to do with them from what iv heard there fast and tough but there lackking when it comes to brain power pictures would be appreciated thanks

Allgame I would be surprised that they lacked brain power as airedales are extremely intellegent dogs, however they do have a reputation for going in boots and all.

ya the people iv talked to have seemed to have less brains then the dogs there talking about most of the time

I've long been interested in them: waiting on a pup (fingers crossed won't be much longer now). The Coyote Gods Forum has several people who use them as tolling dogs to call coyotes in, and there is also a few more Airedale forums in the Stateshttp://xsorbit26.com/users5/traditionalwor...action=register

 

From what I can gather theses dogs have a small but dedicated fan club, and thye use them for all sorts of things from retreiving shot game, birds in particular, tracking game and as general vermin dogs. I'd say that they probably aren't everyone's cup of tea but with the right training and patience (apparently they can take a while to mature and enter to quarry which might put some people off) they can be very useful dogs.

 

I love the look of that Airedale/Greyhound cross on Ozzie Doggers (one of Africa's pics) Indestructable feet, good coats and a seriously strong hunting instinct.

yeah that frosti on ozziedoggers also has bullygreyhounds that have airedale blood in them, not all his but some of his line carry the airedale blood. improved their nose he said. made them better pig dogs

i dont know were but iv seen vidieos of poeple useing packs of them to chase bears up trees then shoot them but they were pure breeds

Didnt a fella breed a litter of greyhound/airedale or lurcher/airedale on one of the UK forums a few years back? There was a good discussion on it then

i think MIKE THE DOG has one of the website pm him i think he has one i aint sure though, i think its him one of the smartest dogs i have set eyes on yet
