wiganred 83
Under pressure from the misses and kids they've decided change her name to sky Made herself at home and early training is going better than I expected.sitting to verbal and hand signals.placed a small board across the doorway she has to step over to get to her food n water. I'll start her on the wait/stay this week.. Routine at moment is sleep, eat, empty, have a mad one,bit of training/playtime then bk to sleep.. 4 Quote Link to post

Casso 1,261
Play play play , don't throw too many commands at it , it will only lead to confusion at that age their concentration levels are so low , Best of luck with it Quote Link to post

Gaz_1989 9,539
Have to agree with Casso...play, play, play. The bitch I've got here is nearly three and it's only in the last six months that we've formed any type of bond...and it was all my fault. I found the pup stubborn, difficult to manage and distant. It was very easy to blame the pup, its breeding etc, but the honest truth was the pup had switched off because I was no fun! I changed my whole way of thinking, and although it ain't perfect, (and I'M still learning) having a dog that actually now likes me makes life both easier and more pleasurable! Best wishes with your pup.. enjoy. Spot on that. I used to try hammering pups with commands, obedience etc. Now my approach is completely different. I just treat them like pets. Play and fun walks. Get them out in all different scenarios and scents when you are fun to be around the recall sorts itself out. As for sit my daughter has taught all my dogs that with left overs from her plate.
