I popped out this evening for a few hours to look at a small holding where they rescue horses, they've had rats get into the feed store and demolish the food bags. After a little look round during daylight hours I decided on where I'd be shooting from but I didn't see one rat the whole time I was there.

I think the best option will be trapping them instead, next time I pop over I'll set a few traps and see how that goes instead.

Whilst I was there I went out onto the fields for a look with the NV as the rabbits have been digging them up, there is a fair amount of rabbits there and as they've not been shot before they aren't that scared.

I shot 9 but lost 3 in the long grass.

 

Still, when I go back to lay the traps I'll hit the rabbits again
