I believe the Border has passed the stage where certain kennel names can be taken to mean working blood.To find a working Border now you have just got to find one that has been bred from working generations rather than a famous name.

Probably the original way,worker to worker, wouldnt consider those that try to hard to get a rossette with their workers either.

I agree with Swansea Jack there are far too many "KNOCKERS" of each others stuff these days, I think it's down to a pride macho thing. If a blokes dog/strain is no good let him find it out for himself you don't have to tell him. The penny should drop when no-one wants to have a dig with him or breed off his stuff. Polite encouragement is my way! OK soap box lecture over!!!

Cheers oneredtrim, if thats the way he felt mate i'd have no worries about the thread being deleted.

This post was a question about his dogs not a for or against borders debate so will the knockers keep shtum coz i like borders and am not arsed

Bloody well did so , that shovel was £36 , took it back and they replaced it

If so, I've a shovel the same as it, but it's not fiberglass, it's all metal.

 

They're a good shovel, but the head is too big when you get them.

 

I had to grind mine down to size.
