terryd 8,986
When we walk the sheep the dog has all ways been showing interest in a little patch of trees where the sheep go for shade surrounded by stingers but bare underneath. He marked it last weekend so I thought I would take the ferret this morning. He started casting about as soon as we entered this morning and checked out any holes as he went. Then he showed a bit more than average interest in one set of holes. Not a 100% positive but enough to make it worth a spin. Popped him in a sit while i netted up then popped the old jill in. Wasn't long before a rabbit showed by the net and the dog went for it and scared it back down. Not a problem as he is a fast learner and wont make the mistake again. All was quiet for a minute or two then out it popped neatly netted and pinned by the dog incase. So job done and back to the car. A nice 3/4 rabbit lovely and tender the box just happens to be there cause I practice him jumping on it like a seal all good Edited July 30, 2016 by terryd 9 Quote Link to post
