That's her at the front.

does she not even try follow the rabbit in the cover ,? dont mean brambles etc, just brackon stuff like that.! my 2 dogs will go in any cover if there a rabbit in there, more so my big dog Buck, to see him go in to thick cover to get a rabbit is amazing really , considering he 28in 84lb . maybe because she got very smooth coat, it might put her off, i know whippets will face cover, but there mad little buggers when there blood up lol, ive had them. do any of your dogs go in to cover ? sometimes or dogs let the other dog do all the work, they do with my big dog Buck, they all watch him go in cover , then they wait for a bolt . lol

yeah she's mad for a rabbit will chase in into bits like. Both the lurchers go into cover an some pretty thick stuff if I'm honest especially the fawn dog he's nuts, just thought she might be a bit shy or like you say cause she's got a smooth coat but a mate of mine has a staff an she's a lot bigger than this bitch she rips any cover up like a terrier lol it's mad to watch her. I'm gonna get some skin an get her into the cent she knows what a rabbit is just wouldn't mind her going in the bushes to push a few out it might help if there a fresh cent to go off. This is why I ain't got a terrier cause she looks ideal for cover but not really thick stuff

well like you say , it just prob thick stuff , most lurchers are bit warrey of thick cover. the only dogs really of good size to face real thick cover are spaniels , ok few terrer s and there xs might, but good cocker or springer take some beating i reckon  sent you a pm .

You thought about getting her out with another busher mate? Chances are she might follow that in. Or when it started yapping on a rabbit she might crash in to see what's going on.

All my dogs go in cover and the biggest dog bloody loves the stuff !

I tend to start mine in ferns in the summer when they won't hurt themselves when hunting in thick fern !

Some dogs like cover some don't if my lurchers didn't I wouldn't see anything mine work as a pack if ones in one usually stays out

this is what I'm hoping to do mate when it's all short am not so thick just no one around here that's really into working something that bushes which is shit. If she sees a rabbit she's after it but every time she gets on one its only In like ash trees where they grow them in big patches, if I chuck a stone in thick cover she tries to get in but tried them stops? Maybe if I can get someone with a working terrier or something she might pick it up.

coat has nothing to do with it , your lurchers have the same coat and their doing more cover than the little bitch . how many rabbits do you see on a average walk , has she caught or seen a catch yet , is she chasing in full view , ten foot or less behind a rabbit and still not hitting cover hard ? did you have her last winter when the cover was down ... more info needed

i took a staff on years ago, only pet for the missus and kids but thought id see if i could get some use out of it,2 weeks of walking hedgerows every evening that held few bunnies here and there and he was on.could take him anywhere after that and he hunt up the thickest of cover crashing through like a tank but he really suffered and was sore within couple hours
