A Brief History Of Time

Recommended Posts

I'm not religious in the normal sense. I believe the universe is governed by the laws of science. The laws may have been decreed by God, but God does not intervene to break the laws. (Quoted in "Stephen Hawking prepares for weightless flight", New Scientist [April 26, 2007])

Another, so even this man with all his work, understands that there could be a creator, at least he admits it, unlike some fundamentalist atheists on here, willfully ignorant comes to mind.

Why don't you read it, then dumb it down for the rest of us, BH ?

I read it years ago, but understood very little of it.....just when I though I'd grasped one part, I'd half-forgotten the previous one !!   Doesn't mean you're not thick though, Walshie !

I read it when I was 20, 26 years later I think I would struggle with it more. From what a can remember I at best I understood a quarter of it.

Cause its a load of tripe walshie, written by soe geezer with a high iq, hes knows feck all lol

Beats believing a book of fairytails is an historic document.

Yeah but hawkins admits there could be a creator, do you?
exactly, Hawkins also says that the universe is too complex just to be a fluke, and that maths is the language of the universe, so how does that also come by fluke??? Hell of a lot just to happen randomly???

Doesn't mean he believes. To put what he said in context: "What I meant by 'we would know the mind of God' is, we would know everything that God would know, if there were a God. Which there isn't. I'm an atheist."

How the tables have turned eh walshie, contradiction, all his work, but admits there could be a creator, lol

Blimey. you really do have the god blinkers on today don't you? Which part of "If there was a god. Which there isn't. I'm an atheist" would lead you to think he believes in a creator?

It's all about reading whole sentences and paragraphs, not just the bits that suit.

Lol walshie yove the cheek,

You not going to correct the two hawkins quote I put up, you just cant take it that you could be wrong, no no cant do that, whereas, im ADMITTING I COULD.BE WRONG, but im comfortable with my choice, doesnt sound like you are.

An why you debating this, you dont lower yourself to this, lol

Last thing I'm going to say now you've buggered up my thread with your usual codswallop...he can admit or deny what he wants. As can you. As can I. So stop calling anyone with different view to you f***ing ignorant.
