comanche 3,298
I turned-up for a mole-job and the customer asked me if I could thin-out his squirrels.I told him I would have a little campaign while I had the mole traps out but covered myself by saying I didn't expect to make much of a dent due to the amount of natural food about at this time of year and the fact that he had workmen all over his garden.I also only had three traps in the van. The chap jokingly reminded me of my sage words the next day when I turned up to find two squirrels in the traps. Today was even better. I approached the traps and did a cartoon-style double-take. Three young squirrels;two of them in the same trap. They obviously found the reduced-price custard doughnut I had sacrificed as bait fatally attractive. No , I'm pretty sure it was the fact that the doughnut was from the reduced counter and, like me, they couldn't resist a bargain. 6 Quote Link to post
