She's keen enough looking around them nets mate.how do they get on with bolters.

She is my marking dog, they are surprisingly quick of the mark, are easy to train on whatever game you want. Main thing is to well socialise with a lot of dogs from young I take mine to puppy school and obedience like most terriers they can be dog aggressive if you don’t.

Most Pit Bulls are not suitable for hunting in the Irish and British countryside, it's as simple as that.

But I have hunted a couple and funny enough they have good noses but no hunting sense, so to speak.

12 or 13 years ago there was a forum called The Bull Terrier Times. A good forum it was too.

Someone asked the question "Has anyone ever lamped foxes with a pure Pit Bull or Staff ?"

I called it a stupid question as lets face it, if the fox could be caught by something as slow as a Pit Bull it would be extinct.

At the time I had a Jeep bred bitch called Pepper who I could exercise with my terriers. Pepper was always very very fit, just above her show weight.

A couple days after I called the Gentleman's question stupid my terriers put a fox out of the ditch and Pepper coursed and killed it.

I didn't admit to this on TBTT forum, LOL.

That's the thing with them, everythings Hunky Dory 'till there's a reason to get stuck in and if you're on your own in the middle of no where with 3 or 4 terriers piled into one another with a Pit Bull (who thinks all it's Birthdays have come at once) then you're going to end up with major casualties.

 

My fondest memory of that bitch Pepper was regarding a Hare.

Some will find it hard to believe.

I was sitting on top of a gate at the back of a empty farmyard just looking at the view with Pepper running loose.

There was a Hare in the field about 100 yards away and Pepper took off after it. She chased it across the field and out under another gate. I sat where I was because she had never got near the Hare and I knew she'd come back to me.

A minute or two later I could see her coming back to me.

As she neared me I could see the Hare was following her. As she got to me the Hare sat down and stayed there 'till Pepper seen it again and took off.

I don't think the Hare ever seen me, on the gate, but it was most definitely playing with Pepper.

Can recall visiting a well known Terrier breeders yard to get a pup when his Bulldog locked on to one of his Patterdales throat. He had to get the breaking stick out and revive the lifeless dog, quite crazy hahaha.
