Dog Pics..

Recommended Posts

Right dudes & dudettes,I'm looking for a little help from those in the know please,as your all probably aware I like taking pics of my dogs BUT I want to know are there any "settings" that will improve my pics without having to win the lotto to buy more expensive gear? I only have "standard gear & kit lenses".. To be honest the most expensive lenses I've had I've knackered them either by falling up the fells lol or getting them piss wet through so even if I could afford more expensive gear I'd not be safe out with it haha..like I say I'd like better pics but if I can't with the gear I've got then I guess they will have to do as they are..I took these today on these settings on Manual with a Canon 50d,75-300mm lens, auto white balance, aperture 6.0,exposure 1/800 & iso 320 ..any help would be much appreciated..fire away then folks please :-)

If it's any consolation I used to use a 35mm camera with all the gear and understood it perfectly, but now I've got an all singing all dancing digital it's way too complicated for me to understand! Bu

Leave it in "P", and hope for the best :boogy:

What the fook is P for? Now your confusing me man!!

M, P, S and A.

Manual, Programme, Shutter and Aperture

beat me too it Gaz. In P you can select auto focus points, and have them track a moving object. You can still adjust some of the other parameters if you really want to. Its like using the camera in auto mode, but withe the traction control turned off
