kyboy44 11
I came up on a guy who claimed to use APBT as a catch dog for coyote hunting and the way he did it was using a e-callery to bring them in and when it was at a certain range let the dog loss on it bringing back to me a show on TV I saw as a little kid of a Ebt be used like that for fox or hog that were coming to bait just wanted to know if any one seen ones be used like this Quote Link to post
rippem 455
Hi, I don't know we're your from but over here the coyotes run in packs. Alone they will run but in packs they will fight..I have some game bred apbt and I know they will go to the end but when you start to ad more then one I find it hard to believe..and he have coy dogs also and there pretty ballsy and bigger and will Def fight..coyotes have been known to sneak in yards and grab dogs and tale off and kill them..small dogs but dogs none the less..if there is video of this I would love to see it..it would make for good hunting.. 1 Quote Link to post

neil cooney 10,417
There's not many dogs slower than a EBT so I'd have to see it too believe it. Only basing my opinion from videos I've seen I would say the Coyote is faster than the Red Fox. Maybe this hunter is calling them in and busting them with a shotgun and letting the Bull Terrier go ???? Quote Link to post
leethedog 3,071
I dair say a apbt can move fairly fast over a short distance granted not a big heavy wait but a well conditioned athletic one Edited to say I wouldn't fancy me chances against one down a garden path haha Edited April 15, 2016 by leethedog 1 Quote Link to post
resistance 189
Apbt could easy catch one and hold it but against a pack can't see it ending well unless shooter is quick on the scene. AV watched that bait dogs before and it's cool how they work. Just sit still and call it in dog takes commands and the jobs done Quote Link to post
kyboy44 11
It was a story I read the guy would call one in with him and the dog in a blind if the coyote stayed to far out he would shot it be if it came in range for the dog he would let the dog loss and the dog would catch it and kill but I am like you I would think that the dog would not have the speed or size to work I that but then again when I was younger I saw what I think was a EBT be used for fox and hog if I am rembering right so I was thinking that if it been done someone might know Quote Link to post
