walshie 2,804
Out with the pup at first light this morning. I didn't even think about taking a camera, but I wish I had now. I only had my phone with me. Hopefully there'll be some more nice mornings to take proper pics.

walshie 2,804
He's a dog and he's fine round water. If his paw doesn't touch the bottom, he doesn't go in. No rod with me, but there was an old boy setting up. He said there were still salmon and sewin around, but I don't know if that's true or not.

neil cooney 10,416
Lovely pics Walshie. I remember a few years ago out cubbing I was standing in the middle of a large forestry with just my daughter. We were waiting for the first hound to speak and the ONLY sound was birdsong. I said to my daughter that 9 out of 10 people will probably never, ever, experience such peace. I reckon I was right. It's something as hunters we experience often but should never be taken for granted, it's the best part of the day IMO.

Obviously down by the river there was the sound of the water, but on the way the only sound was birdsong. Amazing how loud they sound when there's nothing else about. Noisy buggers.
