Stock Options. What Happens When You Fit An Hw77 .22 Into An Hw97K Sporter Stock?

Recommended Posts

Im not taking any thing away from the hw80

but there not for me there to light and its a brake barrel (dont like brake barrels)

the one i had was new and even through its first outing took 3 rabbits with in ten mins i new instantly it was not for me

and got rid a few days later .

The hw97k well what can i say ,even through i have not got one at the moment i had a lone of one just last week

and i hit the bull with the first shot then hit the rest with one shot each

we had a plinking sesh at the end of the shoot and Daz was having trouble hitting the center of the target so once Sean had sorted the scopes out for him i had another go and two pellets in the center out to 30 yrds just two shots

i handed the rifle back to daz and say,d you cant tell me how a 97k handles its like it is part of me when i pick one up.

And as for the Crow sport just the same its part of me i know before i squeeze the trigger whether the pray is in the bag

Both top class rifles ,but there not for every one each to his own

97k to heavy and front end heavy for some

AA,pro sport heavy and a faff with the under leaver for some but its perfectly balanced

I will own them again and there is still two empty places in the rifle cabinet that are reserved just for them

Not to mention the shorter barrel length and the silencer/latch-up of the 97K Mike. But if you mean the internal finish? It wasn't perfect but not as bad as some have been reportedly found. The spring

You get an absolutly brilliant handling rifle that looks fabulous and shoots like a dream!   First off let me say, my HW77 .22 is a genuine supergun. It is phenominally accurate and such is its per

At the end of the day it all comes down to confidence, no matter how often one is told about how good this or that air rifle is, without the shooter having the confidence in his or hers ability behind

This has not helped me one bit in explaining to the lady why I've just got another rifle in the same calibre from the same manufacturer, in spring form. I'd get a 80K I think. Not sure if I'm put off by the weight but surely it's not that much heavier than my 97.

Nice one Simon, all the details we need, none of what we don't.

Mac kinda see what your saying. The front end of the 97 is perhaps something I like. Bit of weight. I was on the pigeons just the other night, only got myself 2, so literally spent the rest of my time snapping pellet width twigs in a tree 30 yards away. My 97, all be in in stainless finish, wish it was blued, is so on the money at the moment I don't know why I'm looking at a new 80. Especially as it would be in the same calibre. I suppose I just want one through memories of seeing them in the magazines and so on.

PCP accuracy with the need for filling.

I'm sure I'd get on with an 80 but I'm fighting the need over want at the minute.

It's not that you actually need an HW80 .22 in your shooting life Rez. It's just nice to have a collection going and switching from one rifle to another, from session to session..Some people collect classic cars (lucky things!) I know some who collect classic WW2 fighter aircraft (Even luckier things!) !! If I had the money to spare I'd collect air rifles. ""Not to have, is not to know"" Well, that's the excuse I always use.

I think we are seldom content with just one rifle, no matter how good it is in our hands. It's a hopeless question to ask ""If you had to have only one..."

MAC.

Surprised a Weihrauch man like you didn't like the HW80 you had for a short while, despite a successful bag with it straight off. Even more surprised to read you are without your beloved HW97.

Blimey mate, how do you get by when a cherished rifle goes out of your life? It's in your handle here old pal! I couldn't sell any of my three Weihrauch spring rifles, it's like my DNA is imprinted on them and they are imprinted on me. Another HW77, '80 or '97K would feel like an entirely unfamiliar rifle to my senses.

And you've sold-on your Prosport/Crowsport? What are you shooting with at the moment???

All the best gentlemen.

Simon

Bloomin Eck jimmy. Sounded like a steep learning curve bud!

I like a front end heavy springer. Well I say front end I mean that the gun balances nicely on the forend hand. I love break barrels for loading, no doubt. I should probably try a hw98!! Just don't like that stock.
