matt1979 766
And no ones's pointed out to this newbie that the reason one lamps is because that's when the quarry is out away from it's refuge. Hence the reason for the lamp. Bushing during the day is to get the quarry to leave it's refuge. The only practical use of combining a lamp and terriers is when ratting, or a dig going into the night. agree but if you been out at work since it was dark until it is dark then those same dogs need some mileage. not something I would advocate out of choice but often necessity during the short days its about knowing your dogs and the land you walk on atb Quote Link to post

Tyla 3,179
I walk mine with lurchers at night in GPS collars and have had some interesting times. Not sure I'd fancy it without the collars though 1 Quote Link to post
Squirrel_Basher 17,102
The one thing to keep in mind when excercising terriers loose at night is badgers .Enough said . 3 Quote Link to post
Hatch28 243
I've caught rabbits on moonlit nights with terriers and no lamp my dogs hunt up close though I don't have to worry about them buggering off. Quote Link to post
