Day State Huntsman Mk2

Recommended Posts

Hi all looking for some advise .I am thinking about getting a pcp ,I have always shot springer's and thought I would give it a try.I do not want to go out and spend thousands so I have seen a second hand daystate huntsman mk2 thumbhole for sale in .177.

Would this be a good gun to try pcp shooting or should I leave well alone and by something newer.look forward to hearing you comments ,experience's and suggestions

NO<NO<NO< stay away from any thing DAYSTATE

Or you will be put off pcp for life

as it will be with them most of the time getting fix,d

if you have daystate money then get a hw100 in any cal and stock of your choice

when you hear of a daystate rifle that cost the best part of £1800 going back after 3 hours to be repaired

and a rifle costing £800 that is loosing power and needs a new reg

well just tends to put you off daystate

whait until Villaman and pianoman see this

I'm not familiar with this model of Daystate PCP so, I can't really comment in depth. But to be brutally honest, unless you really REALLY want this rifle, there are better-built PCP rifles out there for reasonable money.

Huntsmans and Regals are found with build quality issues, unreliable magazines that fail after a short while. Loose-fitting barrel shrouds. And a whole 1=ft/lb power-curve are all issues experienced by myself and other fellows here. Silly little things that shouldn't be found on guns costing this sort of money.

All the best.

Simon
