Tiercel 6,986
Took delivery of this box this afternoon and it does do what it says on the box out of the box. Every channel of a popular television company, even the wife is happy, and that takes some doing. It comes with a years gift and next years present is £40 and that works out at £3.33 per month. TC I've been thinking of doing somthing like that I'm fed up of our popular tv company ...does it just replace your old satellite box The one we have has every function that the other box has bar one, no catch up. As it is duel channel you can record one program while watching another. But you will have had to have this function previously as it needs two cables from your Sat dish. Basically what my son did is unplug the box we were using, connect the new box, and within 5 minutes we were watching every channel that the company offers instead of the package we had. The box cost £160 with a years gift £13.33 a month, next years gift will be £40 that will be £3.33 per month. The boxes were highly recommended to us, by people who have bought and used them, and as they use the dish it is virtually the same as the companies package only a lot cheaper. I am trying to get info now on how to load Kodi on to it. TC

There are others that can explain it better than myself, but I am led to believe it is a program that allows you to download content of the net through your android box and streams it to your TV? I think!! TC Edited March 10, 2016 by tiercel

I think!! TC I'm no expert but I use Kodi. It's open source streaming (legal), rather than downloading (illegal)............ I think ! I use the app, not the box - reliability is suspect, but I've got an absolutely crap line speed. I quite like the idea of the dedicated box, and I believe you can also install it onto the Amazon Fire stick..... If I'm wrong, I'm sorry, but Im sure your average 12 year old could explain it ! Does it work without any Sky equipment ? Movies are OK (watched The Revenant the other night), but can't get any TV worth a look......
