Tallywacker 262
Do your self a favour and have a night/day out with one first and see if they are capable of doing what you require before wasting 18months of your time. Atb 2 Quote Link to post
mighty celt 996
would want to see sire work first will travel anywhere in ireland,or they can come to me il do the driving and put the gear in front of the dog, will bring bitch aswell for him to see work no problem there, like i said i no its a long shot to get a dog of that breeding doing it single, but if you dont ask you wont find out. as for powells stuff they are a nice type and i heard mixed reviews on them,im not in the uk so would be hard to see 1 work, but i keep hearing there tryers and have heart, thats all i want realy is a dog with a good heart doesent have to be a world beater, will mostly be used bushing for rabbits/fox,i will still have my own bitch for lamping, nothing is set in stone just seeing whats out there. Tallywacker 262
It's there looks and the hype the breeder promotes that's there down fall, tricking buyers in to believing there capable of tasks that only a good Lurcher can do.. It's not the dogs fault, What people gotta remember is there half bull half whippet... Whippets being only good for sort busts but then your halfing that speed again and adding bulk.!! Bull/whippet/greyhound with a decent length in body would be my choice, but atb with what ever you choose..?? Quote Link to post
marshman 7,758
I know it's been done to death on here about Pocket rocket or bull x whippet types , but I've a friend that's got one, a bitch , and I can say that's she's a good honest little bitch that try's at everything. Enough speed and enough heart don't get me wrong not out and out for one thing or another but like I say a good honest type of dog , so much so I've considered having one for mooching . Good luck in your search MC ? 1 Quote Link to post
mighty celt 996
bull/whippet/grey is my first choice bud. was only toying with the idea of a powells pup, if i was to get a powells pup it would be 3/4 id want. Edited February 5, 2016 by mighty celt Quote Link to post
lee 99
Iv worked a bull whippet dog for a good few seasons.. As marshman says a good honest dog that try's its hardest but that's it... Quote Link to post

Tallywacker 262
Fine looking bitch.!!! Mc I would imagine everything she gets behind is in trouble... And for me Id wanna keep at least 50% greyhound in her pups to maintain that's great stamp. Atb Quote Link to post
mighty celt 996
cheers bud,she has a good catch rate now in fairness to her,she missed a lot of the season due to a cut in her stoper pad that kept opening back up,got it removed 4 weeks ago, yeah think il try put something along her own breeding back to her, just dont want anything thats going to throw heavy pups, like my dogs racey and strong.
