FERRETBOY 680 Posted November 26, 2007 Report Share Posted November 26, 2007 back out ferreting this morning with the pups (fly and fern)but decided the older sister could come to tag along aswell,so she phoned in sick .she was a great help actually,setting and picking up nets in bushes and was putting the ferret down the holes and picking her up.the first few warrens were dead which was very disapointing as it tuck us a good hour to walk .we had a walk back and found another warren back at the quarry i ferreted on saturday ,this was a seven holer if i remember correctly ,i let her net up two of the easier holes and i set about clearing a few holes inside the brambles and dropped on the nets.i gave her a few hand signals to put the ferret down one of the holes whilst i held the pups at the further end of the warren.about 5 mins later we had a bolt .i dropped the rabbit (butter fingers) but fern was on it and hit it hard with her first strike then swooped it up with the second strike.another good morning and im pretty sure the sister enjoyed it aswell .i promised her that i will knitt her some pink purse nets if she wants to come out abit more. me and fly my newest hunting partner a well pursed rabbit EOD pic good hunting rew Quote Link to post
