Just read on the net about an experiment they did in states they fed pups on different types of food and with different protein contents the conclusion being that a pup fed on a complete meal of no less than 17% protein was as exactly the same development etc etc than a pup fed on a high protein meal or even barf diet,

Iv always believed protein to be over rated in both man and dog but especially in dogs obviously some is needed and we are what we eat but I don't worry about protein to much a good clean quite simple varied diet more important IMO..

I've been saying this for years and been getting laughed at.

My dogs get no more than 15% protein. And that's if they get a handful of complete at 24% which bumps it all up.

Them packets of minced chicken and minced beef are somewhere in the region of 15% protein.

Lean chicken breast meat is about 30% protein. Not 100% like people think.

Then things like pasta, rice, veg etc all lower the overall protein percentage in the meal.
