mark williams 7,568
Took myself and my G.S.P gun dog out this morning to build a natural hide close to a huge old tree on one of my permissions. I am experimenting with camo` options at the moment and intend using this hide with full Jack Pyke leaf suit, camo` rifle and camo`d primos sticks. I have started the build inside an old, mature privet hedge. (Keeps it`s leaves all year round) The "match" with the leaf suit is outstanding. I put the range finder onto the huge tree from within the new hide and my furthest shot would be 28 yards and the nearest - 20 yards. The HW 100 ks .22 will be getting used in these situations as the tree branches are far from spindley and offer good open shooting. atb 3 Quote Link to post

mark williams 7,568
I never seem to forget shooting any corvid, i hate them with a passion. In my areas they are notoriously testing/ hard to shoot and will lift from a field 500 yds away when they see you. That , though, is exactly the buzz i crave in air gun hunting, - "that test" of hunting skills with a sub 12 ft/lbs air rifle and field craft v quarry like a deeply wild Corvid. " I just adore that test" - " Get close and unnoticed" atb 1 Quote Link to post
