Decided to go out today even though weather forecast said heavy rain,setting of the sun was breaking through,get afew mile from the farm and its gets dark and windy.lands at the farm gate and its locked never been before,half hour to find farmer ask him why the gates locked he said some one been pinching the sheep food.he lets us in and we get ready and set of dogs mark straight away but we agree to leave them till on way back,done this 4 or 5 times then get a mark in the wall feret in rabbit out and away 3 dogs on wrong side,a few expletives and 2 dogs with me another bolt and 1 in the bag.another couple like this then the heavans opened up,dogs working the tussok grass 2 catches and 3 to ground.net up 2 well used setts and ferrets in first 1 bang instant rabbit,almost straight away my mate digs about4 inches and no2,thats it for this one .onto the nextone its now gail force wind and heavy rain ferrets in rabbit straight out followed by its mate straight into a rock pile,next one out net snags no2 in the rocks.another few out of this one and my mate says his waterproofs are taking in , so I say well do the rock pile then set of back for the others.ferrets in all qiuete for ages, then a bolt gave the dogs the slip and away through the wall,this happened 5 more times with 1 catch,ferrets still down soaked to the skin cold and p#ssed of waited 2 hours for ferrets to show,boxed them up and I say to my mate lets head back and do them others,he said f#ck you im we tnrough cold and hungry and even the dogs are sick lets go.finished the day with 11, go back for the others another day,wet through cold but still happy.

Proper day of it then,hard and frustrating graft but 11 rabbits to get through for your troubles! Might be wet wet wet but at least you were out out out!

Why not if we all waited for good weather we would never get out , anyone who ferrets on the moors know the weather can change in seconds so we just crack on .and just for the record im 53 and still keen as mustard lol.

Crack on Moe We had shite weather all day Saturday.....for 2 poxy rabbits(one myxied) been trying to get on this place for a few years,it was lifting with em....fooking myxi :censored:
