terryd 8,994
Bit toasty yesterday morning had 2 layers on and a babour was sweating like mad. Went to my little quarry but the rabbits know me well now and go and sit on the cliff side or go in the holes on the edge where we can't get them. It is not that high but wouldn't do the dog or me much good going over. Luckly he marked one to ground on the easy side and we had him. Another rabbit for the young jill. The dog is starting to be a pleasure to be around now and calming down a bit. Even the other day he bolted across a field to the other side and thought you sod but it turned out super honker had winded a rabbit. Waiting patiently as all ways Same again this morning in a little wood all ways heavy with cover and still bad at the moment. The dog kept marking the brambles but couldn't get in kept looking at me to pile in Then he gave a nice mark on an open set of holes popped the young jill in. Trying to stick with her at the moment its so easy to keep using the old girl because she is so good. But she is getting on so I need to get the new one upto speed. She didnt mess and got straight too it ooh heard a rumble Then it kicked off and we had two bolts at the same time out of different holes. I took one the dog the other great stuff and home by 9 I do need to steady him with cats mind. This farmer had half a dozen laying around there porch. I asked if they go up in the wood and she said no but you never know so I had that at the back on my mind. I all ways give him a yank on the lead and a firm no so he does sort of know. Just have to stick at it I don't really want to be any harder on him. Right better go skin some rabbits 6 Quote Link to post

But when you stood on top in the slippery mud its seems a lot higher lol. Dog is doing well still a work in progress but I enjoying our outings learning to work together. Very happy with him 2 Quote Link to post
