New To Air Rifle Shooting - Springer Of Choice ?

Recommended Posts

Well I thought I would put a few pellets through the HW95 today and through the chronograph

Remember this HW95 of mine is untouched apart from the a different mod , put 50 Falcon accuracy plus 13.4gr ,one pellet read 612fps and one pellet 618fps and the rest came in at 613-617 , thats only 4 fps spread over 48 pellets ,this matches my old BSA Ultra .177 regged by XTX AIR

Not bad for out of the box HW95 and pellets straight out of the tin !!!!!!

Hi guys,   I'm totally new to site & a complete 'virgin' to air rifle shooting, but looking to get into it, primarily for the hunting side of things, rabbit/pigeons/hare etc...So having trawled

Good choice 97 feels heavy at first but if you stick with it you will be rewarded. The 95 is mid light weight and is creamy to use and very pointable around the barns. I have found them both to be gr

My 95 has only been gone a week and I am missing it already but it has got my mate away who had been dithering for a month so I let him have it to get him away and let me try the 98 out. I think I will get an imp to fill the gap.

Is it really 16 weeks now? I've heard lots of different time scales.

Aye mark .22 only as treecreeper has said- think the 99s is just too jumpy in .177 at full power.

Out of the box, I think I'd be more tempted to buy a Walther LGV in .22. Failing that an AA prosport/tx200, in .177 or .22. I think the HWs are lacking a bit of finish at the moment
