I have an american Thomson center contender.223 single shot rifle for sale. The Contender rifle will accept any Thomson Center Contender barrel from .22 rim fire to .50 calibre and will also accept twelve bore and twenty bore barrels On the external hammer there is a switch left for center fire, right for rim fire this is an unique and very accurate rifle. Savage Steve, I will send you a e-mail if you are still interested. pity you don't live nearer, I could take you out for a shoot. The twist rate is 1 in 12 to the best of my knowledge. It is in near mint condition. I have had it re-crowned and it has a lovely walnut stock and fore end. I have fired less than 200 shots through and before I got It it had very little use, but suffered from being stood with a moderator attached, hence the re-crown. I had it accuracy tested at Mcavoy's Gunsmiths in Wigan and the Gunsmith (Tim) stated that it was more accurate than he could ever shoot.
