To be honest Mac/ Lads i wouldn`t bother too much over a shotgun. I`ve owned shotguns for over 35 years but "always" prefer to use airguns,- much more skill and field craft involved  .

Out in the field with the shotgun and "BOOM" !!! :icon_eek: - the fields go empty. With the air rifle, nobody knows you are there, silently waiting , but saying that shotguns certainly have their uses.

I know where you are coming from mate, but dont quite agree with the "more skill and fieldcraft" statement, shooting a cock pheasant doing 35mph curling in the wind, requires not a small amount of skill, and ambushing, then hitting teal coming in like mini rockets, requires both field craft and skill, shotguns have their place, as do air rifles, as do section 1 firearms.
