Hurlock 114
Lads ive got a blitz and lance here that need a bit of attention. I've already replaced the cig lighter fuse and curly wire with a lawnmower fuse and heavy duty cable few year back but now they're playing up. Now think they need re-soldering. Anyone done this? I need to check behind the switch and bulb housing but can't get in there to check them. Anyone able to talk a novice through? Cheers Hurlock Quote Link to post
jamie_rob 215
I've had mine fix a few times with the cable breaking. Always goes at the wrong time. My missus was going to get me the blitz hid but I need a verible one and they don't do it that, but I do fancy the new enforcer 240. As any used that yet? Quote Link to post

Maximus Ferret 2,065
I seem to remember a thread a while back where Paulus explained how to drill out rivets and rewire. Quote Link to post

trigger2 3,387
the wiring is a pain in the arse. first thing i do with my new lamp is strip it apart and rewire it. i do away with the switch as switches can play up when wet or covered in blood. ive got my lamp set up so has i touch 2 wires together on the back of it much better job altogether imo. ive never needed to replace the wiring upto the bulb though. i always poke plenty of wire back up into the handle and put a small cable tie round the wire and a good amount of electrical tape round that just to stop it pulling back through and breaking the remainder of the original wiring in the handle. 1 Quote Link to post
